Relates to: Most pull-type clutch kits

Fitted to: Various Vehicles
Background:

Pull-type clutch kits have a bearing that is designed to pull the diaphragm spring, unlike a traditional push-type clutch kit. For this to occur the connection of the bearing to the diaphragm comes from a pre-tensioned snap ring which engages with the diaphragm after installation. All Clutch Industries pull-type clutch kits have been checked and tested for bearing locking ring operation prior to packaging.

Prior to clutch installation check if the locking ring is still in place in the locking ring assembly, this can be carried out by turning the pressure plate assembly upside down and pushing on the ring assembly from the topside down to see if the ring is still in place.
Please note that at times the locking ring/crown may become dislodged or damaged in transport, see components below.
If the locking ring is found to be dislodged and damaged, please contact clutch industries technical support on 1300 369 787.
